Marcia Gay-Harden (1959 - ) She was
born on August 14, 1959 in Tokyo, Japan. In 1980,
she graduated from University of Texas with a B.A.
in theater, and went on to study at New York University,
earning an MFA from their graduate theater program.
Since 1990, Marcia Gay-Harden steadily
has been in films and television, finding success
as an actress. She married a man named Thaddaeus in
1996, and they have a 3 1/2 year old daughter, Eulala
Grace.
On winning her Oscar, she said, ""Vegas
had me at 12-to-1 odds. I sure do wish I had bet on
myself and made a little money."
