Cuba Gooding Jr. (1968- )
Gooding was born on January 2nd, 1968 in The Bronx,
New York. He is the son of Cuba Gooding, lead singer
of The Main Ingredient, who brought us the hit, "Everybody
Plays The Fool".
Cuba Gooding Jr. started his film career in "
Coming to America," credited as boy getting a
haircut in the barber shop. His first major role that
put him on the map was his portrayal of Tre Styles,
in the film, "Boyz N the Hood." in 1991.
This led to a co-star status in the film, "Gladiator."
Cuba Gooding Jr. then went on to be in a steady stream
of films, most notably "A Few Good Men,"
"Jerry Maquire," "As Good as it Gets,"
and "Pearl Harbor."
He has been happily married since 1994 and has 2
children.
