Denzel Washington (1954 - )
Denzel Washington was born on December 28th, 1954
in Mount Vernon, New York, one of three children
of a Pentecostal minister and a beautician mother.
Denzel Washington earned a degree in Journalism
at Fordham University, but became hooked on acting
while studying there.
Denzel enrolled at the American Conservatory Theater
in San Francisco for a year, and then easily found
acting jobs in many television productions, and
was employed throughout the eighties in both film
and television.
In 1982, he was hired to be Dr. Chandler on the
show, "Saint Elsewhere," and the gig lasted
6 years. In 1981, Denzel Washington was in his first
big film hit, "Carbon Copy."
