Edmond O'Brien (1915 - 85)
Born in New York of Irish parents, Edmond O'Brien
starred on Broadway prior to becomming a leading
man of the forties.One of Edmond O'Brien's most
memorable roles was in "D.O.A." ( 1950),
where he plays a man who spends his last few hours
alive trying to figure out who has poisoned him.
In his later years, as he began to gain weight,O'Brien
became a character actor, appearing in many high
profile films such as "The Birdman of Alcatraz"
(1962) and in "The Wild Bunch" (1969).
Edmond O'Brien also received a Supporting Actor
nomination for his 1964 performance in SEVEN DAYS
IN MAY.
