and he was signed into a contract.
William Holden was born William
Franklin Beedle Jr., on April 17, 1918, in O'Fallon, Illinois.
Nickname was "The Golden Boy." His family moved to Pasadena,
California 3 years later.
His first film was GOLDEN BOY,
opposite Barbara Stanwick.
After serving in the Army during
World War II, he returned to films with a maturity that enhanced
his various portrayals.
William died from a senseless accident
suffered at home on November 16, 1981.
