Pfeiffer is one tuff lady. There
are very few beauties that have had to work so hard in the film
industry before making it to the big time. She was first seen
as a babe, not a classic beauty, and not an actress. This bad
rap unfortunately hindered her career in its tracks, just when
she was ready to get rolling. But, in 1985 she showed major
potential, in "Into The Night." Then, at the turn
of the decade, she starred in several blockbuster movies, delivering
stellar dramatic performances: "Dangerous Liaisons"
(1988), "Married To The Mob" (1988), "The Fabulous
Baker Boys", (1989), and "The Russia House" (1989).
Through the rest of the nineties,
she's completed a few films that show her strength and the desire
to be respected, like 1996 's "Dangerous Minds", and
the early 90 's "Batman" series, playing the seductive
and sultry cat-woman. On Pfeiffer, Jack Nicholson said, "You
couldn't really say Michelle is glacial, but there's obviously
something oscillating below the surface there." (CD)
