"He was a very brilliant actor
and a luminous young man. I can still see him, learning
to play Bach on his recorder, looking like an angel
on earth." - Julie Harris.
James Dean was a true miracle in the
waiting, a prodigy unveiled and then tragically swept
away far too soon. Though he only made three films in
two years, each one of them was done flawlessly, with
a certain class to his smug, rebellious attitude. The
volcano was waiting to explode. It is clearly evident
with the films "East of Eden" (1955), "Giant"
(1956), and mostly in his 1955 film, "Rebel Without
A Cause". Today the passion of James Dean is still
undimmed because he spoke for the timeless wisdom that
was smoldered beneath his antics of rage and rebellion.
