Charlton Heston - Ben Hur
Super Star & Best Actor

Charlton Heston's early fame was in biblical dramas, ala BEN-HUR and THE TEN COMMANDMENTS.

Tall and handsome, with a commanding screen presence and a great voice, Charlton Heston made his mark in historical dramas at a time when earthier sex symbols like Marlon Brando and James Dean were wowing audience with their naturalism in kitchen sink dramas.
