Tea Leoni was born and raised in New York City by a lawyer and a nutritionist. Tea Leoni's paternal grandmother was silent film
actress Helenka Adamowska. David Duchovny and Leoni are married in 1997 and they have two children together, Madelaine West Duchovny (born 1999) and Kyd Miller Duchovny, (born 2002).
As a temporary replacement, Tea Leoni was on
the TV Series SANTA BARBARA in 1989 as Lisa DiNapoli. Tea Leoni played in A LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN in 1992 as Racine
the 1st-base player.
In 1998, Leoni played the lead in DEEP IMPACT, a sci-fi pic in which she plays a reporter unraveling a government conspiracy, playing alongside Robert Duval, Vanessa Redgrave and Morgan Freeman.

In the 2000 hit fantasia on IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE, called THE FAMILY MAN, Tea
Leoni plays opposite Nicolas Cage. The film details the story of a confirmed bachelor, who suddenly wakes up married to his erstwhile girlfriend, with their children jumping on the bed, and finds out that married life is not the suffocating horror he once thought.
