Steven Berkoff is a highly acclaimed English actor, playwright, author, and director. His work has constantly stunning performances on both stage and screen. He received dramatic arts training in both Paris and London and then moved on to performing at several repertory companies.
Before forming the London Theatre Group in 1968, Steven Berkoff had appeared in roles in England since 1959. His performance in HAMLET in 1964, NICHOLAS AND ALEXANDRA in 1971, A CLOCKWORK ORANGE in 1971 and BARRY LYNDON in 1975 were beginning to get noticed by casting agents.
Steven Berkoff played the part of a rogue who plotted to kill Roger Moore as superspy 007 in OCTOPUSSY in 1983. In 1984, he played a drug peddling art dealer co-starring with Eddie Murphy in BEVERLY HILLS COP. He also played a sadistic Russian commando officer torturing Sylvester Stallone in RAMBO: FIRST BLOOD PART II in 1985.
His screen performances are only one part of Steven Berkoff's talents. He wrote and performed original plays including DECADENCE, HARRY'S CHRISTMAS LUNCH, BRIGHTON BEACH SCUMBAGS, and SINK THE BELGRANO.

Also, Steven Berkoff has authored several books. One of those books, THE THEATRE OF STEVEN BERKOFF is written about his own life in the theatre. He also wrote CORIOLANUS IN DEUTSCHELAND, A PRISONER IN RIO, I AM HAMLET and MEDIATIONS ON METAMORPHOSIS.
