American young leading man of the early eighties who was
born in Brooklyn, New York.
Steve Guttenberg was a U.S.C. Dentistry student when he got
his first acting job. Steve Guttenburg studied the craft of
acting with famed teacher Herbert Berghof and with one of
the most fertile schools of improvisational comedy, The Groundlings.
Because of his training on the stage, Steve Guttenburg has
the ability to easily perform both comedy and drama, both
in film and TV.
His natural wit and charm coupled with his acting ability
has helped him make the most of some plum roles, propelling
him to stardom and a very profitable career. Steve Guttenberg
has gone on to also write, direct and produce various projects,
with great success.
Steve Guttenberg has a big heart and has used his wealth
wisely in helping the homeless and young people, giving them
opportunities to help themselves. Guttenberg has created Guttenhouse,
an apartment complex he has funded to accommodate young people
who have graduated from the woeful public foster care system,
which is inadequate in helping these young people to move
successfully into society. An on-site social worker helps
these young people assume adult responsibilities.
