About Stephanie Powers (1942 – )
Stephanie Powers was born in Hollywood, California. She is best known for her television performance in the hit series, Hart To Hart, as a doe-eyed beauty with a shaggy head of brunette hair.

Stephanie Powers was a bullfighter as a young woman. She was given honorary status in the Mexican bullfighter's union, and also invested her money and energy into breeding bulls in Texcoco, Mexico.

After a few movie roles, including the 1963 film, Mcclintock, with John Wayne, Stephanie Powers starred briefly in the 1966 television series, The Girl From U.N.C.L.E.; a spinoff of The Man From U.N.C.L.E. In the series, she is called on to employ not only her bullfighting training, but also her training in dance. In the fashion of the day, her character was comic, campy but alluring, and lady-like, rather than deadly.

This stint was followed by a number of guest appearances on television shows, such as Kung Fu (1974), The Rockford Files (1975), The Six Million Dollar Man and The Bionic Woman (1976).

She was married to actor Gary Lockwood from 1966 to 1972. In 1993, Powers married Patrick Houitte de la Chesnais. They divorced in 1999. Later, Stephanie Powers had a friendship with actor William Holden.

Stephanie Powers became involved in wildlife conservation and became President of the William Holden Wildlife Foundation upon his death, in 1981. Currently she is involved with two zoos and a game ranch and is an international speaker on preserving wildlife.

Stephanie Powers starred with Robert Wagner in the popular television series, Hart To Hart, beginning, in 1979, and that ran for six years, until 1985.In this series, the pair played a married couple who were amateur detectives that solved crimes.

In the '90s, Stephanie Powers played the title role in Matador on the London stage, and Love Letters, for which she won the Sarah Siddons award.

From 2002-2005, Stephanie Powers played the title role in the musical, Anna And The King Of Siam; touring first in the U.K. and then in the States. She also starred in four made-for-television movies based on the Hart To Hart series. Recently Stephanie has been doing character roles in films and appearing in made for television movies.
