Sophie Marceau was born on November 17, 1966 in Paris, France. Sophie Marceau's birth name is Sophie Danièle Sylvie Maupu. She began her career as a teen actor in France.

In 1994, Marceau played Eloise D'Artagnan, in the Revenge Of The Musketeers, a convent raised girl, whose father's blood runs in her veins, when she is instantly transformed into a charming, swashbuckling, sword wielding menace in a conspiracy against her convent.

The next year, 1995, she played the impossibly beautiful, grave, medieval French Princess Isabelle, lover of of the Highlander rebel, William Wallace, in Mel Gibson's Braveheart.

Sophie Marceau starred as an heiress in jeopardy, in the James Bond movie, The World Is Not Enough (1999), with Pierce Brosnan.
