About Richard Anderson (1926 – 2017)

Born in Long Branch, New Jersey on August 8, 1926, Richard Norman Anderson is an American actor in film and television and probably best known for his role as Lee Majors' and Lindsay Wagner's boss, Oscar Goldman, in both The Six Million Dollar Man and The Bionic Woman TV series and their three subsequent TV movies.

In the 1960s Richard Anderson made appearances in Perry Mason, The Untouchables, The Rifleman, Death Valley Days, The Eleventh Hour, I Spy, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., The Fugitive, Bonanza, The Invaders, and The Big Valley, among others.

Richard's 1970s appearances include The Six Million Dollar Man, and The Bionic Woman, along with guest starring on Hawaii Five-O, Gunsmoke, Ironside, Columbo and The Love Boat.

Anderson stayed busy in the 1980s with roles on Dynasty ('86-'87), Charlie's Angels, Knight Rider, Remington Steele, Cover Up, The A-Team, The Fall Guy, Simon & Simon, and Murder, She Wrote.

From 1993-1997, Richard Anderson was the narrator / Capt. Stiles character on the TV Series KUNGFU, THE LEGEND CONTINUES.

Anderson died on August 31, 2017 from natural causes in Beverly Hills, California, twenty-three days after his 91st birthday. He was survived by his three daughters Ashley Anderson, Brooke Anderson, and Deva Anderson.
