About Rebecca De Mornay (1959 – )
Rebecca De Mornay was born on August 29, 1959 in Santa Rosa, California.

Sometimes Rebecca De Mornay is credited as Rebecca DeMornay, without the space.

Her birth name is Rebecca Jane Pearch. Rebecca De Mornay's biological father is the TV talk show host, Wally George. She was given her mother's maiden name for a last name.

As a toddler, Rebecca's name was changed when her step-father Richard De Mornay adopted her. After her adopted father died when she was five years old, her mother immigrated with Rebecca and her half-brother to Europe. They grew up in England and Austria, where she graduated at the top of her high school class in the Austrian Alps.

At the Lee Strasberg Institute, Rebecca De Mornay began her training in Los Angeles, later she became an apprentice at Francis Coppola's Zoetrope Film Studio.

In 1983 Rebecca De Mornay made her film debut opposite Tom Cruise in Risky Business as a seductive call girl.

Rebecca was honored with several Best Actress nominations and awards for her performance as the evil nanny in the film The Hand That Rocks The Cradle. She won a Cognac Festival Award, an MTV Movie Award for Best Villain, and was honored with a Saturn nomination, and an MTV nomination for Best Female Performance.

The TV series The Outer Limits in 1995 was Rebecca De Mornay's directorial debut. She also had a guest appearance on the episode The Conversion.

In 1995 Rebecca De Mornay was the executive producer of Never Talk To Strangers for her producing debut, then again in 1996 with the film The Winner.

Having several TV guest appearances and mini series, Rebecca De Mornay most memorable roles were in the remake of The Shining in 1997 and with a multi-episode story arc about a cancer survivor on E.R. in 1999.
