Raul Julia was born on March 9, 1940 in San Juan, Puerto
Rico. Julia passed away on October 24, 1994 in Manhasset,
New York of a cancer related stroke.
Raul was Nominated for a Tony Award for his portrayal of
Macheath in Brecht's "The Threepenny Opera" (1978). also for
his performance in the Broadway Musical, NINE.
Raul Julia played Gomez Addams in 1991's bigscreen comedy
ADDAMS FAMILY.
He repeated the role in the sequel, ADDAMS FAMILY VALUES (1993).
Julia's most memorable roles-as Brazilian environmentalist
was in the 1994 made-for-cable movie THE BURNING SEASON.
