Rae Dawn Chong was born on February 28, 1961 in Edmonton,
Alberta, Canada.
In 2000 Rae Dawn Chong played Dr. Peggy Fowler in the short
lived TV Series MYSTERIOUS WAYS.
Rae Dawn Chong has had several TV guest appearances along
with some reaccuring roles on MELROSE PLACE playing carrie
fellows on ST. ELSEWHERE playing Clerk Billie Vaughn.

Rae Dawn Chong was the writer for the movie CURSED PART
3, she was also the Director and Executive Producer.
Daughter of Tommy Chong, Rae Dawn Chong is also the half
sister of Robbi Chong.
In 1989 she married C. Thomas Howell, alothough they were
divorced in 1990.
In the hit movie THE COLOR PURPLE in 1985 Rae Dawn Chong
played the role of Squeak. She was also in A COLLABORATION
OF SPIRITS: CASTING AND ACTING for the COLOR PURPLE in 2003
and the CULTIVATING CLASSIC: THE MAKING OF THE COLOR PURPLE
also in 2003 giving special thanks.
THE COLOR PURPLE had a strong cast of supporting players
make the film memorable as well, they included, Whoopi Goldberg
Danny Glover, Adolph Caesar, Margaret Avery, and Oprah Winfrey.
