About Rachel Ticotin (1958 – )
Rachel Ticotin was born on November 1, 1958 in Bronx, New York.

In 1981 Rachel Ticotin was listed as one of twelve "Promising New Actors of 1981" in John Willis' Screen World, Vol. 33.

Rachel began ballet training at the age of eight. At the age of ten she was cast as a dancing Siamese princess in a New York City Center Theatre production of The King And I. At 12 years, she joined the Ballet Hispanico of New York, and found herself working with well-known choreographers.

King of the Gypsies was her first film, in 1978, where she had a small part as a gypsy dancer. She went on to get valuable experience in off-Broadway productions.

Rachel is known for her strong female roles, playing everything from police women to military corporals.

Her big break was her performance as the lead woman in Fort Apache The Bronx, with Paul Newman and Edward Asner.

Rachel is best known for her role in the sc-fi mega-hit Total Recall, with Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Rachel Ticotin has worked in such television shows as Prison Stories: Women On The Inside, Aftershock: Earthquake In New York, and Warden Of Red Rock.

In the TV series Law & Order: Los Angeles, Rachel played Lieutenant Arleen Gonzalez.

Rachel has been married to Peter Strauss since 1998.
