About Peter Ustinov (1921 - 2004)

British actor, director, and screenwriter Peter Ustinov made his stage debut at 17, wrote his first play at 24 and directed his first picture at 25. He went on to be the author of over 30 plays, screenplays, and books. In fact, in 1968, Peter Ustinov was nominated for his screenplay titled: HOT MILLIONS. Ustinov won critical acclaim for writing, directing, producing and acting in his film, Billy Bud, in 1962.

Peter Ustinov excelled at playing pompous, vain characters. He played French detective, Poirot, in several Agatha Christie movies and was slotted to play Peter Seller's role in The Pink Panther (1962) before he backed out. Peter Ustinov was nominated in 1951, for QUO VADIS.
