Paul Freeman was born on January 18,1943 in Barnet, Hertfordshire, England.

Freeman is a founding member of the Joint Stock Theatre Company. Casted into many leading roles, Paul Freeman performed in stage plays at the National Theatre, Royal Court and the Royal Shakespeare Company. His performances were admired by British television producers, which resulted in acting roles on British television.

In 1980, Paul Freeman's performances in the films,THE LONG GOOD FRIDAY, and THE DOGS OF WAR, got him noticed by Steven Spielberg, which led to more good fortune, beginning with a meaty role in Spielberg's 1981 blockbuster, RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK. As French archaeologist Rene Belloq ,Paul Freeman had his most rememberable role as Harrison Ford's charismatic but utterly selfish rival.

Paul Freeman shone as evil Professor Moriarty, in the fabulous comedy, WITHOUT A CLUE (1988), battling wits with Ben Kingsley and Michael Caine.

Paul Freeman's first stage role in America was as Prospero in the American Repertory Theatre's production of THE TEMPEST.

In 1995 Paul Freeman was cast as Ivan Ooze in MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS: THE MOVIE.

When the POWER RANGERS movie was released, a small tub of "Ivan's Ooze" was available from toy stores, featuring Paul's face on the lid.

Paul Freeman has done a variety of television work in TV series and movies for both English and American TV, including: ER (Series-'98-02), FIELDS OF GOLD (TV movie), MONARCH OF THE GLEN (TV Series), WAKING THE DEAD (Series-2005), NEW STREET LAW;(Series 06''07), and MI-5 (TV Series; 2010).
