About Meg Tilly (1960 – )
Meg Tilly was born on February 14, 1960 in Texada, British Columbia, Canada. Her sister, Jennifer Tilly is also an actress.

Meg was training to be a dancer, at 17, but due to an injury to her back, was forced to seek another profession. Meg Tilly's screen debut was in Alan Parker's Fame (1980).

Meg Tilly's breakout role was in The Big Chill, where she played the much younger girlfriend of a political activist who has just committed suicide. She was then nominated for a Best Actress Academy Award for her starring role in Agnes Of God (1985), along with Anne Bancroft and Jane Fonda. Tilly plays a young nun who has religious visions, and appears to have been sexually abused.

She was cast in the blockbuster movie Amadeus as Constanze, the wife of Mozart, but broke her ankle and was replaced. She played the beautiful married lady and object of a scoundrel's persistent attentions in the "Dangerous Liaisons" French novel movie adaptation, Valmont, starring Annette Benning and Colin Firth.

Meg Tilly appeared in Psycho II (1983) in which she played a girl in jeopardy, who is put up for the night by Norman Bates, on his first night at home at the motel, after 22 years in prison.

In 1993, Meg Tilly played a step mother in the sci-fi horror movie flop Body Snatchers. Since that time, Meg Tilly has played a few parts on television, with a 15 year hiatus, between 1995 and 2010.

Tilly wrote the book "Singing Songs", the story of a girl's sexual abuse, based on her own real life childhood experiences.

She was married to Producer Tim Zinneman until 1989, with whom she has two children. She had a 5 year relationship with actor Colin Firth, with whom she has a son. She married much older Sony Pictures president, John Calley in 1995 and divorced in 2002. Currently, she is married to Don Calame, a writer.
