Leo G. Carroll was one of the first actors to play the same regular character on two different television series. He played Alexander Waverly on both THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. and THE GIRL FROM U.N.C.L.E.

Carroll made lasting impressions in two 1930s films, A CHRISTMAS CAROL (as Marley's Ghost) and WUTHERING HEIGHTS.

One of his biggest films was NORTH BY NORTHWEST.
