In Los Angeles, California on June 21, 1973, Juliette Lewis was born. Her mother's name was Glenis Blatley, a graphic Designer. Juliette's father, Geoffrey Lewis, an actor, was a regular in Clint Eastwood's films.
Juliette Lewis has two sisters who are both actors, Lightfield Lewis and Dierdre Lewis. She left home at the age of fourteen. Lewis dropped out of high school three weeks after starting. Lewis was arrested for being underage in an underground dance club at the age of sixteen. She drove without a license until she was 21. However, she owned her own car but she bought it under a friend's names and had been driving the car illegally since the age of fifteen. Eventually, she got her license when she was pulled over for not stopping a stop sign.
At the age of six, Juliette Lewis knew she wanted to be a performer. She claimed that musicals like FAME AND GREASE inspired her. At the age of twelve, Juliette Lewis landed her first leading role in HOME FIRES, a Showtime miniseries. Lewis appeared in THE WONDER YEARS in 1988 and in I MARRIED DORA in 1987.
Juliette Lewis married Stephen Berra, a professional skateboarder in 1999. They have since filed for divorce.
In 1989, she starred with Chevy Chase in the all time Christmas Classic, CHRISTMAS VACATION. In 1991, she starred with Jennifer Jason Leigh in CROOKED HEARTS.

In 1990 Juliette Lewis played a suicidal mental patient in the music video, COME TO MY WINDOW, by Melissa Etheridge. Her song from NATURAL BORN KILLERS in 1994 was used in another song BAD BROTHER by the Infidels.
In 2004, Juliette and the Licks, a rock band that Juliette Lewis fronts toured in the Van's Warped Tour.

In 1999, Juliette Lewis starred in Garry Marshall's THE OTHER SISTER. It was a very challenging role. she played Carla Tate, a mentally ill woman. Lewis co-starred in the film with Giovanni Ribisi, Diane Keaton and Tom Skerritt.
In 2000, Juliette Lewis acted in the comedy, ROOM TO RENT. Her character in the film is a Monroe impersonator. Lewis sings and dances throughout the film.
