About Judy Greer (1975 – )
Judy Greer was born in Detroit, Michigan on July 20, 1975. Her birth given name is Judith Laura Evans. She is sometimes credited as Judy Evans Greer.

Born and raised in Detroit, Judy Greer's father was a mechanical engineer and a hospital administrator. Judy attended Winston Churchill High School in Livonia, Michigan where she was active in the performing arts program. She trained for almost ten years in classical Russian Ballet. Her interest shifted to acted and was accepted at Chicago's Theatre School at DePaul University.

Judy Greer's first screen role was just three days after her graduation when she was cast for a small part for the comedy Kissing a Fool in 1998. She flew to Los Angeles, California for the film's premier and never went back to Detroit.

As a result of Judy Greer's gift for comedy she has become one of Hollywood's most captivating young talents. She has appeared in a variety of different films such as Jawbreaker in 1999, What Women Want in 2000, The Wedding Planner in 2001 and Adaptation in 2002. Judy Greer steals the show in every performance opposite some of the biggest stars.

Recently, Judy Greer stared opposite Jennifer Gardner in Columbia Pictures' romantic comedy, 13 Going On 30 in 2004. The movie was direct by Gary Winick. She co-starred in M. Night Shyamalan's The Village in 2004 opposite Joaquin Phoenix, Sigourney Weaver and William Hurt.

Judy Greer recently landed a role opposite Orlando Bloom and Susan Sarandon in Cameron Crowe's Elizabethtown in 2005. In the same year she was in Wes Craven's Cursed, a modern version of the classic werewolf tale.
