Fred Dalton Thompson was born on August 19, 1942, in Sheffield, Alabama. He was elected as a U.S. Senator from Tenessee from 1994 to 2003. Thompson was also a bonified lawyer in the Watergate proceedings and can be seen in Oliver Stone's JFK in 1991.
