Frank OZ was born on May 25, 1944 in Hereford, England.

Frank Oz's most notable performance was as the voice of Jedi master, Yoda, in THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK and in RETURN OF THE JEDI.  Frank Oz also gave voice to such well loved Muppet characters as Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, and Sesame Street characters Bert, Kermit, the Cookie Monster and Grover.   Frank began staging puppet shows when he was 12. Seven years later at 19, Frank Oz joined Jim Henson's staff of puppeteers and gradually became Henson's closest collaborator, on the Emmy award-winning children's TV shows SESAME STREET and THE MUPPET SHOW.

Oz worked with Steve Martin on THE MUPPET MOVIE, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS, HOUSESITTERS, and BOWFINGER).  Frank Oz has also appeared in many of Director John Landis's films.

Frank Oz has directed 14 films, including  THE DARK CRYSTAL, THE MUPPETS TAKE MANHATTAN, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS, WHAT ABOUT BOB?,  BOWFINGER and THE STEPFORD WIVES.
