Dina Meyer was born on December 22, 1968 in Queens, New York. Her nicknames are Dee or Dean. Her nickname was given to her by her childhood friend Melon Seed. Her father owns an auto parts shop in Queens and drives a Harley. She has two brothers and both of them are named Evan.
Before her Junior year in High School, Dina Meyer moved to Dix Hills, Long Island.
Her first experience in the entertainment industry was modeling from age nine to sixteen. She wanted to become an actress but her parents wanted her to have a good education. Dina Meyer went to C.W. Post College and graduated in 1990 with a bachelor's degree in business administration.
The Neighborhood Playhouse in New York was where Dina Meyer began her acting training after her graduation from college.
BEVERLY HILLS 90210, was Dina Meyer's first part on television. The role required Dina to move to Los Angeles. Shortly after her move, she was cast in the lead role in the movie JOHNNY MNEMONIC. In the film, she did almost all of her own stunts which established her as an athletic actress.
Her second movie, DRAGONHEART, caused her to move to Eastern Europe for the filming. The role was also a very physical part as she had to deal with special effects. Learning to deal with special effects caused her to be cast in STARSHIP TROOPERS.
Dina Meyer had a recurring role on FRIENDS and also was in a episode of ALLY MCBEAL.
