Denholm Elliott was born on May 31, 1922 in Ealing, London,
England. On October 6, 1992 Denholm Elliott passed away in
Ibiza, Spain from AIDS related tuberculosis.

Elliott's career spanned nearly 40 years, becoming a well-known
face both in Britain and in the States
In 1988 Denholm Elliott was appointed CBE in the New Year's
Honours List. From March 1954 - November 1954.
In 1942 Denholm Elliott served in the RAF during WWII. His
plane was shot down over Germany and he spent the rest of
the War in Stalag 8B POW camp in Silesia.
Denholm Elliott made his London stage debut in 1946, his
film debut in 1949 with DEAR MR. PROHACK.
Elliott played as Harrison Ford's professional colleague
Marcus Brody in RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK and INDIANA JONES
AND THE LAST CRUSADE.
The last years of Denholm Elliott's life were spent by appearing
in a handful of wildly popular films-as Dan Aykroyd's valet,
who now must serve Eddie Murphy, in TRADING
PLACES (1983).
In a childhood accident Denholm Elliott lost the top of
his right thumb.
