Carradine in KUNG FU

About David Carradine (1936 - 2009)

Unique American character actor, whose real name is John Arthur Carradine. Son of actor John Carradine and half brother of Keith Carradine.  He married 4 times, was frequently arrested and hid his weird sexual proclivities until his infamous demise.

David Carradine's glassy stare and behind-the-beat delivery helped him rise to prominence in the 1972-74 television series KUNG FU, in which he portrayed the peace loving Chinese Shao Lin monk, Caine, who always got into scrapes, where he had to use his superb Kung Fu training.   He also starred in the 1993-1997 revival television program, KUNG FU:  THE LEGEND CONTINUES, in which and his grown, Kung Fu fighting son fight crime together.

Quentin Tarrantino cast David Carradine as Bill, the chief villain and jealous, murderous, ex-lover of The Bride, in the 2003 and 2004 hyperviolent, cartoon-like movies, KILL BILL, VOL 1 and KILL BILL, VOL 2, written by Quentin Tarantino and Uma Thurman, who also starred in the movie.

David Carradine died of unusual causes while filming in Thailand.
