Sheen in WALL STREET.

About Charlie Sheen (1965 –)

Born on September 3, 1965, in New York, New York.

His birth name is Carlos Irwin Estevez, and he goes by the nickname, "The Machine".

He has been married three times has five children and one grandchild.

Charlie Sheen comes from a family of actors. He is the son of actor Martin Sheen and Janet Sheen. He is the brother of actors Emilio Estevez, Renée Estevez and Ramon Estevez.

His personal life is famously messy. Sheen accidentally shot his then fiancee, Kelly Preston, in the arm. He has dated former adult film star Ginger Lynn Allen.. He was engaged to another adult film star, Scottine Ross, but didn't marry her, because he wanted to spend more time with his kids, who needed "his focus."

He has been in court-ordered rehab for the treatment of his demons:Drugs, alcohol and the resulting issues he had with anger when high or drunk. These addicting endulgences have wrecked most of his relationships with women, and resulted at one point in having his two twin sons being taken by social services.

Despite his personal struggles, Charlie Sheen is a gifted thespian, from his earliest attempts at acting. In a small role, Charlie Sheen gave a memorable performance in FERRIS BUELLER'S DAY OFF.

Charlie Sheen made his youthful screen debut in THE EXECUTION OF PRIVATE SLOVIK; (1974), which starred his father. Charlie later launched his career in earnest with supporting roles in RED DAWN; (1984) and THE BOYS NEXT DOOR; (1985).

Charlie Sheen found great success on the televison medium . When he replaced Michael Fox on the show, SPIN CITY for the last two years;(2000 -2002), he won his first Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor on a TV series.

In 2003, he was cast in a major role; portraying a divorced father, Charlie Harper, on the hit series, TWO AND A HALF MEN;(2003-2011), that ran for 8 years. His character was based on Charlie's own bad boy reputation. By the end of the 8th season, Charlie Sheen was making 1.8 million. He won an ALMA award, and received three Emmy nominations and two Golden Globe nominations.

It seems that Charlie Sheen has gotten control of his issues enough to become employed in another TV show. From 2012 - 2014, Charlie Sheen starred in ANGER MANAGEMENT, a role that he had personal experience with in creating this character, due to his own issues that he has worked on.
