Blythe Danner was born on February 3, 1943 in Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania.
By age 25, Bylthe Danner won the Theater World Award for
her work in Moliere' 's THE MISER at Lincoln Center.
In 1970 Blythe Danner won a Tony Award for her role in BUTTERFLIES
ARE FREE. Danner has also been nominated for Tonys for performances
in A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE and BETRAYAL.
Blythe is married to director Bruce Paltrow, she is the mother
of two acting children Gwyneth and Jake Paltrow.
Danner has two brothers - Harry is an opera singer & William
is a violin expert, she also has a sister, Dorothy Danner,
who is an opera director/choreographer. Blythe's best roles
were in adaptations of Pat Conroy novels, THE GREAT SANTINI
and THE PRICE OF TIDES.
