Working with various theater companies, Bill Pullman is most
notably known for his work at the Folger Theater Groupe and
the Los Angeles Theater Center.
As a child Bill Pullman grew up with a large household he is
one of seven children. Changing the number for himself he has
three children: Maisa (b. 1988), Jack (b. 1989), Lewis (b. 1993).
After a head injury Bill Pullman lost his sense of smell and
spent two day in a coma.
In 1986 Bill Pullman made his big screen debut in the Danny
DeVito and Bette Midler comedy RUTHLESS PEOPLE. Pullman made
a big impression in his film debut as Earl, the so-called stupidest
person on the face of the Earth.
While teaching at the Montana State University one of his students
was director John Dahl - Subsequently in 1994 Dahl gave Bill
Pullman a role in his film THE LAST SEDUCTION.
In 2000 Bill Pullman had his debut directing and producing
in THE VIRGINIAN a made for TV movie, in this film he also had
the acting role of The Virginian.
After his smashing hit RUTHLESS PEOPLE, Bill Pullman next two
films were lead role. In 1987 he went on to play Lone Starr
in Mel Brooks' sci-fi parody SPACEBALLS, and then changed venues
as the anthropologist in the horror-thriller THE SERPENT AND
THE RAINBOW in 1988.
Finally Bill Pullman gets the girl in 1995's WHILE YOU WERE
SLEEPING.
In the popular 2005 TV mini series REVELATIONS Bill Pullman
plays Dr. Richard Massey.
When promoting INDEPENDENCE DAY in 1996, some of the South
America people actually thought he was the President of the
United States.
