Barbara Carrera was born on December 31, 1951 in Managua,
Nicaragua.
Blessed with an exquisite exoticism, Carrera made her through
adolescence as a model. She also worked as a free-lance painter.
Her film debut came in 1970 where she starred in "Puzzle
of a Downfall Child" as none other than, a model. Her
paintings received recognition where, in May 2002, her celebrity
portraits were exhibited at the Hollywood Entertainment Museum
in April-May 2002.
Barbara Carrera is best-known for her sultry performance
as the sexy Fatima Blush in Sean Connery's comeback "Bond"
film, "Never Say Never Again" (1983).
Married three times thus far, her latest relationship to
Uva Barden dissolved along with her former two marriages into
a past full of love, seduction, and passion that marks the
very character of Carrera. With several notable film appearances
such as 1977's "The Island of Dr. Monreau" to 2003's
"Paradise" Carrera has established herself in Hollywood
as more than another pretty face. It is likely we haven't
seen the last of her.
