Michael Anthony Thomas Charles Hall was Born
on April 14, 1968 in Boston, Massachusetts.
His potential talent for the show business seemed
genetic; his mother, Mercedes Hall, was an actress/singer,
his father is a show business manager, and his sister is also
a performer/actress. Starting his career at a very young age,
Anthony states, "I've been a working actor since age
eight. It became my craft and career by high school. I did
not go to college, but I'm an avid reader in the ongoing process
of educating myself."
Educated or not, Anthony Michael Hall has been
making audiences laugh for decades, penning himself as the
"cool nerd" in a slew of 1980's teen flicks including
"Vacation" (1983), "Sixteen Candles" (1984),
"The Breakfast Club" (1985), and "Weird Science"
(1985). Previous to his teen star status, however, Anthony
was working as a TV commercials actor. He got his first major
break when he was cast as the young Steve Allen in Allen's
semi-autobiographical play "The Wake".
Hall's television credits include the Emmy Award-winning
television movie "The Gold Bug"(1981).
Anthony was the youngest member of "Saturday
Night Live" (1975) ever; he was only 17.
Anthony Michael Hall is intently involved with
his band, 'Hall of Mirrors'; He is a singer, drummer, and
song composer for the band.
Rather than learn how to pitch left-handed
for his role as Whitey Ford in "61", Hall wore his
Yankee uniform number and logo backwards, and pitched right-handed;
the image was then flipped.
