Allison Lee Hannigan was born on March 24, 1974 in Washington,
District of Columbia. By the age of 4 Alyson Hannigan got
her start in commercials, such as McDonald's, Six Flags, and
Oreos.
In 1989 Alyson Hannigan co-starred in the "bewitching"
television series "Free Spirit".In 1997 Hannigan
would reappear as the witch Willow Rosenberg in the hit series
"Buffy the Vampire Slayer" starring alongside Michelle
Gellar. She would remain with the series until 2003.
But it is Hannigan's guest appearances on several different
TV series that made her a household name. In fact, Hannigan
has appeared in Picket Fences" (1992), "Roseanne"
(1988), "Touched by an Angel" (1994) and "The
Torkelsons " (1991).
Alyson Hannigan has co-starred with Seth Green as his girlfriend
on different occasions. the first was for the film "My
Stepmother is an Alien"(1988), and secondly in "Buffy".
Though the producers of "American Pie" (1999 )originally
wanted Alyson Hannigan to play the role of Heather, Hannigan
opted for the quirky role of band-geek Michelle because of
its comedic potential.
Alyson Hannigan has worked with actor Jason Biggs four times
to date- "American Pie"(1999), "American Pie
2" (2001), "American Wedding" (2003), and "Boys
and Girls" (2000).
Hannigan has a tattoo of tribal dolphins on her ankle, and
a Japanese kanji (for luck and happiness) tattoo on her back.
It seems Alyson has made quite a name for herself having
already had two songs recorded about her:, one of which is
the self titled "Alyson Hannigan" by Juvenile Wreck.
The other is the song "This One Time" (named for
her famous "This one time, at band camp..." quotes from "American
Pie") by The Malcolm Effect.
She married actor Alexis Denisof in 2003 after originally
meeting him on the set of "Buffy".
