Adam West was born on September 19, 1928 in Walla Walla,
Washington.
Sometimes Adam West is credited as William Anderson.
Bringing to life several animated characters is an easy task
for Adam West, we have heard his voice in the hit movie CHICKEN
LITTLE playing Ace - Hollywood Chicken Little , in THE SECRET
FILES OF THE SPYDOG playing the furry character Dog Zero, and
of course playing Batman and Bruce Wayne in THE NEW ADVENTURES
OF BATMAN in the 70's for the hit TV Series.
Adam West has been part of several hit TV series' usually
playing a role with sometype of authority including THE ADVENTURES
OF PETE & PETE playing Principal Kent Schwinger, and DANGER
THEATRE playing Capt. Mike Morgan.
The voice and the role that would make Adam West a star in
our eyes did hurt his career a little Adam West became Batman
and Bruce Wayne to people everywhere, it all started in 1966
in BATMAN then in 1967 BATGIRL then the series THE NEW ADVENTURES
OF BATMAN. He did have trouble getting roles after playing
Batman, it became hard for directors to see Adam as anything
other then Batman.
A childs program was a starting point for Adam West working
with his college buddy, Carl Hebenstreit, in THE KINI POPO
SHOW.
A TV favorite, Adam West has had reaccurring roles using his
voice on the FAMILY GUY, playing Mayor Adam West and on THE
BATMAN playing the voice Mayor Grange, on both shows he is
noted as a special guest.
In 1994 Adam West wrote his autobiography, Back to the Batcave.
Nina West is Adam West's daughter, she is the host of the TV
Land show REAL ESTATE. Nina and Adam have appeared together
a couple of times on the Howard Stern show.
Having over 140 TV guest appearances, Adam West has been on
shows like SUGARFOOT, MAVERICK, 77 SUNSET STRIP, GUNSMOKE,
and BEWITCHED.
