Ryan O'Neal was born Patrick Ryan O'Neal on April 20th, 1941, the son of actress Patricia O'Callaghan and author /screenwriter Charles O'Neal.

Began his career as a stand-in and stunt man. Described as "boyish, sandy-haired, good-looking," he first became well known on a TV soap opera, PEYTON PLACE (1964-69).
