Audrey Hepburn had a classy, elf-like screen
presence, as well as a lot of talent, which propelled her to
success in the 1950's and 1960's, mainly in romance/comedy films.
Her defining role was in the 1953 comedy / romance,
ROMAN
HOLIDAY, where Audrey Hepburn played a young, runaway princess,
opposite Gregory Peck. She won a Best Actress Oscar.
Audrey Hepburn received Best Actress nominations
for FUNNY FACE, NUN'S STORY, BREAKFAST
AT TIFFANY'S, and WAIT
UNTIL DARK. Her other notable films include CHARADE,
MY FAIR
LADY, and LOVE IN THE AFTERNOON.
At the end of the 1960's she basically retired,
but still occasionally did another film, such as ROBIN &
